Examination & Promotions

• Besides unit tests, FA I, II, III, IV there will be SA I & SA II and examination held during the year. No candidate will be admitted to any of these examinations without an admission card which will be given in the school office when all dues have been paid.
• Parents and guardians are requested to examine the report card before signing it. They will make enquiries if no report is shown to them by their children.
• Pupils absent from an examination for any reason are not re-examined. If the absence is justified the fact will be taken into account at the end of the school year, However equation of the education board will be followed.
• A minimum of 40% is required for pass in each subject.
• Results of examination answer papers will not be shown to any body.
• Parents/guardians must follow up the child’s progress in studies. If after three warnings a student shows no progress whatsoever, parents will be asked to seek admission elsewhere for the child.
• Any use of unfair means detected during or subsequent to an examination is liable to punishment at the principal’s discretion and in serious cases the student will have to repeat the class or be expelled from the school.
• Promotion to a standard is granted on the basis of examination and on the basis of the year’s record of work. This consists in the following.
  i) The day to day written work including compositions home work on daily lessons.
  ii) The individual traits of character such as good conduct, regularity, punctuality, a sense of responsibility co-operation, sociability etc.
• All cases of doubt regarding promotion are left entirely to the discretion of the principal and his decision will be final.
• A student who fails in any examination will be deprived of his fee concession.
• A student who fails twice the same class must discontinue his studies in this school.
• Students who fail in Board Examinations will not be allowed to continue their studies in this school.
• Promotion once refused will not be reconsidered.
• Students caught for using unfair means during examination will not be allowed for the particular exam and will be out from ranking and may even be asked to quit the school.
• Polythene bag is not allowed during the examination.
